MA Opioid Abuse Prevention Collaborative (MOAPC)
The collaborative is focused on a number of strategies to prevent the onset of substance use related to opioids and to reduce overdose fatalities. Here is a brief outline of the subject areas that are being given attention too in efforts to address opioid use/misuse.
Prevention of substance use:
- Ease of access to prescription medications
- Parent enabling and favorable attitudes toward substances
- Stigma of substance use disorder
Prevention of Overdose:
- Access to Naloxone
- Providing treatment information, referrals and linkages to support
MA Substance Abuse Prevention Collaborative (SAPC)
Substance Abuse Prevention Collaborative (SAPC) is a state grant focused on preventing underage alcohol use through policy, practice, systems, and environmental change.
A year long assessment was completed in June 2016.
